The Ortho Mat is an orthopaedic pet bed that features a water-repellent, tear-resistant ripstop canvas cover that is ideal for dogs who like to scratch or nest in their bedding. The reinforced, durable ripstop fabric is also well suited to outdoor patios and weather-prone areas; including parks and beaches, and is effortlessly easy to clean. Simply zip off the cover for easy machine washing and tumble drying.
Inside is 100mm high convoluted orthopaedic Australian foam designed to relieve pressure points and to prolong the health of your pet’s hips and joints. It’s lightweight and allows air to flow, which is ideal for less mobile pets, older or injured pets and those who suffer from hip dysplasia or arthritis.. The foam is treated with Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial treatment, which helps control dust mites and other household bugs that trigger allergies and asthma. It helps keep the foam fresher and cleaner for longer controlling unwanted odours caused by bacterial growth.

What is Ripstop?
Ripstop fabric is a durable fabric that is made using a special reinforcing technique that makes it resistant to moisture, tearing and ripping. It’s often used in making products for the outdoors such as sails, tents, sleeping bags, flags and banners to name a few. It’s a great choice for an outdoor bed and will stand up well for those who are tough on their beds, however while it is tough it is not indestructible.

Australian made orthopaedic convoluted foam forms the base of our Ortho Dog Lounger. At 10cm thick it provides ultimate comfort and protection for joints and bones. All our foams are treated with Ultrafresh for added protection from mould and to help keep woofy odours at bay.
